American designer Rebecca Minkoff has joined forces with Intel and UN Women to support a rising generation of female leaders in technology and engineering, as part of Intel's recently announced Diversity in Technology Initiative.

Minkoff will work with the organisations to help create opportunities for women in technology, and connect women around the world to opportunities to learn and lead through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and careers. She commented 'We know that economic empowerment is critical to ensuring full equality for women. I know this from my own life'.
